About Us

Are you wondering or curious about who is behind the scenes at Whetstone Designs, or perhaps you want to know our story and what we are all about?

Why You’re Here

You have one major goal in mind- a successful project that comes in on budget, on time and meets the vision that you have in your minds eye. Building your timber frame home is a major undertaking both in time and money. As you know having the best information and plan before you start will help you in every step along the way.

Why We’re The Best For Your Project

We’re not only well versed in architectural and timber frame design, but obsessed with helping folks succeed with their projects. We understand the expense that goes into your project and it is not something that is taken lightly at Whetstone Designs.

There’s a lot of risk in hiring someone to design your home and timber frame, especially one of this scale and with this risk of failure (if you build something and it is not the right fit for you and its hard to build… that’s not good.) Because we know exactly what your project stands to both lose and gain from a successful design, we are able to make sure we don’t just design something, but that we design the right structure to meet your needs and budget and for over the past 14 years, we’ve helped over a hundred clients achieve this goal.

Because of his experience in the field as a builder and project manager he designs with the whole project in mind. He does a great job of sorting out the details that would otherwise cause confusion on site for all the trades.
